The HGSE Data & Visualization Lab is a welcoming and non-judgmental space located within the Harvard Graduate School of Education. We provide personalized support to all HGSE students through quality one-on-one consultations to ensure students enhance their understanding of data, visualization, and data analysis. During the academic year, we offer workshops and lectures that highlight the importance of data in the educational sphere. Collaborative by nature, we partner with both HGSE as well as the larger Harvard University community. We strive to help the evolving needs of students during their time at HGSE and tailor our programming to adapt to their needs.

1-on-1 Consultations
  • We offer thirty-minute virtual or in-person appointments to help students build their data literacy and analytical skills. 
  • Our services include understanding the difference between data and statistics, exploring various data analysis techniques, tools, and technologies, and critically evaluating data sources and reports. 
  • We also assist students in identifying data repositories for projects, presentations, or dissertations, and provide guidance on safe data storage and sharing practices.
